The Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco resort is a spectacular 1.700 hectare brunello wine estate and boutique hotel with 22 suites, 9 farmhouses, an award-winning winery, 18-hole Tom Weiskopf signature golf course, and extensive hiking, biking, and equestrian trail networks.  In addition, we worked with Paolo Giobbi on the design and construction of expansive vegetable gardens that serve two restaurants and a cooking academy.  This is the project that lead MÀKIA’s principal, Philip Adiutori, to Italy.  Philip completed the Master Plan & design development of Castiglion del Bosco while senior associate at EDSA Los Angeles, under studio principal, Rich Centolella.  Afterwards, Philip remained on the project as an independent consultant to the Owner together with Marco Battaggia to oversee the construction administration from 2007-2009.
