Five-star rural resort in the Umbrian hills that will be the first of it’s kind on the Peninsula.  The Antognolla resort includes several restaurants, a destination spa, a signature golf course by Robert Trent Jones Jr, and several new residential areas to be developed into independent rural estates. An extensive network of hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trails provide guests plenty of opportunities for nature-based experiences.  Together with Marco Battaggia, we provided complete master planning and conceptual landscape architecture for this majestic rural estate, which includes an international 5-star hotel and the restoration and conversion of an existing castle dating from the 1300s to contain approximately 36 suites, a restaurant and terrace lounge. In addition, approximately 74 suites will be integrated within a northern slope overlooking the castle and designed in a way to complement the local Umbrian architectural aesthetic, culture, and surrounding view-sheds.
