In early 2018 the developer Aire Hotel Florenz, SRL contacted MÀKIA to join their project Team and lead the landscape architecture project for the future 25 Hours Hotel in the historic center of Florence. The Hotel opened in the fall of 2021 and is the first 25 Hours to open in Italy, offering 173 rooms, a restaurant, elegant bar and characteristic cafè. Paola Navone lead the artistic direction and interior design for the project while Genius Loci Architettura was the lead architect. Playing on the concept of Dante’s Inferno and Paradiso, MÀKIA developed a design that will create a wild and overgrown landscape filled with an impressive selection of botanical curiosities recalling a secret garden that has long been forgotten.
