Sometimes it’s not a requirement to design every detail of a project on paper to make it a good one.
Throw together a bunch of designers, architects and general creative types, who share a strong passion for carpentry; add some quality equipment (drills, saws, hammers, etc); give them a task to build, and… well, a Miracle can happen!
Ok, maybe “a miracle” is a little exaggerated, but nonetheless, it’s possible to build beautiful things without studying and studying and studying it on paper first. MÀKIA’s Leonardo Marzotti joined the self-building collective Camposaz this past spring to develop a temporary artist residence commissioned by the French Pavillion at the 2018 edition of the Venice Architectural Biennale.
