Guido is an architect who believes that history and research add a critical, contextual approach to all of his project work. Guido grew up in the Arno Valley, before moving to Venice where he graduated with a degree in Architecture and presented his thesis on resource-poor environments’ adaptation methods for climate change. Inspired by the work of Pietro Porcinai, Guido is particularly interested in blurring the lines between Architecture and Landscape. Prior to MÀKIA, Guido collaborated with VIDA landscape architects + planners. As a Design Director at MÀKIA, Guido has taken on a leadership role within the studio and spends plenty of time on site managing construction progress. One of our botanical experts, Guido keeps a keen-eye on our planting design and research within the studio.
